The association

The artistic and administrative operator of the Moritzhof is ARTist! e.V.

The association was founded in 2000 by young cinema and culture enthusiasts and has continued to develop ever since. It currently has around 50 members who take on voluntary roles within the association. The affairs of ARTist! e.V. are managed by a voluntary board, currently comprising Ferry Kuhnert, Ulrike Gehle, Birte Sosna, Jacqueline Strauß and Mirko Lange.

Following the renovation of the Moritzhof (2004–2006), the City of Magdeburg entrusted ARTist! e.V. with the task of breathing new life into the historic building complex, maintaining it in accordance with conservation guidelines, and making it accessible for cultural purposes in an inclusive manner – a task to which we dedicate ourselves wholeheartedly every day.
