Wie wird Medizin im Film erzählt – und was verrät das über unser Verständnis von Körper, Krankheit und Heilung? Die Reihe Medicine and Film des transSCAPE Projekts der Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg beleuchtet die Darstellung verschiedener medizinischer Themen im Populärkino und verknüpft sie mit Perspektiven der Medical Humanities.
Am 28.April 2026, von 18:00 bis 21:00 laden wir herzlich zu einem Vortrag von Prof. Dr. Katrin Röder zum Thema „Visualizing Mental and Emotional Complexity: Inside Out (2015)“ mit anschließender Vorführung des Films Inside Out im englischen Original und offener Diskussionsrunde. Die Veranstaltungssprache ist Englisch.

How is medicine portrayed in film—and what does it reveal about our understanding of the body, illness, and healing? The Medicine and Film series, part of the transSCAPE project at Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg, examines the representation of various medical themes in popular cinema and connects them with perspectives from the Medical Humanities.
On April 28, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, we cordially invite you to a talk by Prof. Dr. Katrin Röder on the topic of "Visualizing Mental and Emotional Complexity: Inside Out (2015)." The talk will be followed by a screening of the film Inside Out in its original English version as well as an open discussion. The event will be held in English.
