local heroes "awards ceremony"
For the third time, the winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in Magdeburg on 28 November. These acts have qualified through various regional heats or via nominations and will be competing as newcomer acts for their respective federal states: Aylin Celik from Düsseldorf for North Rhine-Westphalia, Blumen für mich from Weingarten for Baden-Württemberg, Carls8erg from Rostock for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Eythee from Hanover for Lower Saxony, FLOE from Neuenhagen for Brandenburg, Hermitcrab from and representing Berlin, JoschY from and representing Bremen, kickpunchpow from Jena for Thuringia, Plume from Munich for Bavaria, Quietgirls from Lübeck for Schleswig-Holstein, Raptiloiden from Halle (Saale) for Saxony-Anhalt, sander dornblut from Leipzig for Saxony and Vianne from Trier for Rhineland-Palatinate.
The decision rests not only with the expert jury but also with the public. From 19 to 26 November 2026, anyone interested can vote online to decide which act will win the Audience Award. To coincide with this, the music videos of all the acts’ live performances will be released on YouTube. On 28 November, they will come together with all participants in the national final and invited guests from the music industry, the press and politics to honour the outstanding achievements of the newcomer acts.
We are looking forward to a spectacular celebration of newcomer music!
