Sandow: Kinder des Verbrechens

Sandow is the most well-known and innovative avant-garde band from the former East Germany. Their hits "Schweigen und Parolen" and "Born in the GDR" brought them fame, while their appearance in the film "Flüstern und Schreien" and their "Ngoma" performance featuring hundreds of drummers have become legendary. They have produced plays and radio dramas and released 13 studio albums, which have been recognized across Europe as a unique body of work. In 2022, the Sandow best-of album "40 Jahre Sandow – Kinder des Verbrechens" was released, and the band has just launched a crowdfunding campaign for the production of their new record, "Die Reise des Geistes," which is scheduled for release in the fall of 2027.
