So Soon: Everything Matters, Nothing Matters
With So Soon, multi-instrumentalists, songwriters and producers David Stöbener and Marco Braun create music that, despite an impressionistic approach to sound design and storytelling, develops enormous grandeur and power. Indie pop and folk blend with electronica and post-rock to form a moving whole, both on their recordings and in rousing live performances with a full band. Not only have they been friends since their youth, but they have also been making music together for years, investing in their art. And you can hear this in their compositions, their production and every concert: multi-layered songwriting, precise vocals, an impressive sound and exceptional musicality come together to form a magical whole. Autobiographical snapshots, growing up in a world that offers much but also demands much, hazy hope, lingering melancholy. Songs with captivating depth and impressive vocals in weightless harmony. So Soon’s debut album “Whether You Like It Or Not” (released in 2024 via Clouds Hill) already generated a huge response and found its way into many ears and hearts: thousands of people at their concerts, more than two million streams, first festival appearances, radio and press features, and a rapidly growing fanbase on social media – and this is just the beginning.
