About people who climb trees

A film about climbing, self-empowerment and maximum impact. And about water and lots of gravel. Over a period of 18 months, the filmmakers follow activists at the Climate Camp in the Altdorf Forest. In Upper Swabia, protest and civil disobedience are met with a lack of understanding and outright rejection by most residents, even when the issue at stake is the preservation of the natural environment on which life depends. Now, a new form of resistance is emerging within the climbing activist movement, but it is being relentlessly pursued through the courts. The public is increasingly realising that this is about gravel, drinking water and having a say over the ‘Alti’, which, as a state-owned forest, actually belongs to everyone.
