Finally, some festive cheer this Christmas! Classic German-language Christmas carols in a cozy old-time jazz style. Somewhere between tinsel, the warmth of a wood-burning stove, and a smoky jazz club—groovy, laid-back, and completely free of kitsch. Where else can you hear such uplifting versions of “Silent Night,” “Vom Himmel hoch,” and “O Tannenbaum”? Most likely at Disney World in Florida, where the Whiskydenker performed during Christmas 2023 and 2024 and learned to infuse German holiday classics with a light, breezy swing and jazz vibe. Having matured under the Cypriot sun at the Cyprus Rialto World Festival and refined by the Italian way of life as the house band of the Venice Simplon Orient Express, an entertaining—even danceable—Christmas show awaits us, full of joie de vivre, personal anecdotes, and, of course, an incredible amount of jazzzz!
